A few weekends ago, we went Jeepin' as a family. We love to get out into the woods. It's so nice to take in the views and just get away for a while.
On our way back to civilization, we were driving down a trail and there was a huge puddle in the middle. We had the tops off the Jeep and the windows down, and the boys' dad floored the gas peddle. We hit the puddle and it was so deep and so big that the water came up over the hood and through the roof and windows.
The kids were just chilling in the back--the oldest was actually asleep. When the water hit them, it was a huge surprise.
The youngest wasn't impressed. He immediately became angry and screamed that he hated being in the woods and Jeepin'. The oldest laughed. The water shocked him awake and scared him a little bit, but he still saw the humor in it.
I saw it coming since I was in the front and ducked down. The back of me got soaked, and the water was freezing! I laughed, though. That's the kind of thing that makes Jeepin' fun.
My Jeep is still dirty--outside and inside. I really need to get it cleaned.
What kinds of summer fun have you been having?
