Family Traditions

Every year, right after Christmas, our family heads up to Albany to snowmobile.  We take a few days off and stay in a cabin, away from they hustle and schedules of our regular life.  Anyone is invited to join us, and we've had friends and family come for a day or so.  It's a lot of fun.

This year was the third year of this tradition.  We were up there for three days, and on the third day, Landon got to take out his own sled.  He did awesome for his first time.  He put 42 miles on the sled, which is no minor feat.  He went up hills and fell into a 4-foot hole.  He showed no fear.  (I, on the other hand, was having a small heart attack every time he took off.)  It was a blast.  We're all looking forward to our next trip!

Getting ready to head down the field.

Up the hill.

Down the hill.

It's Been a While

I apologize for that.  Things have been super crazy busy, but that's not an excuse.  Things are going to be different.  I'm going to make a better effort of posting on here and letting you know what's going on.

The first bit of news is that There's a Monster in Mommy's Tummy is now available in print.  You can find it here.  Check it out!  It's not what you think.  It's about being hungry!

There seems to be a monster in mommy's tummy. It growls a lot, especially in the morning. What does it look like? Does it have one eye or two? Maybe it has long yellow claws and sharp white teeth. Mommy says to tame a tummy monster, you have to feed it.

There's a Monster in Mommy's Tummy is an adorable and fully illustrated children's book that reveals the answer to a question kids often wonder about. Why do tummies growl?
